Registration has closed in the 2026 APT Jeju Main Event. The organizer and SoMuchPoker report 1,375 entries from 696 individual players representing 36 countries. Re-entries explain why the entry count exceeds the number of different people; the two measures describe different aspects of the field.

Field and prize pool

The buy-in was KRW 2.7 million. The announced pool of approximately KRW 3.2 billion exceeded the KRW 2.2 billion guarantee. That pool is shared across paid places, rather than paid to the champion alone. Multiplying the buy-in by the unique-player count would not reproduce it: repeat entries and the fee structure also matter. We retain the Korean-won amounts rather than presenting a media currency conversion as a fixed payment.

What the bubble changed

Day 2 ended with 198 players advancing. The official recap describes simultaneous eliminations at two tables, with the scheduled 199th-place minimum payout split between the two departing players. Advancing players and payout records therefore need not have the same count.

Ma Kaihong held 1,135,000 chips, ahead of Jiawei Wan on 986,000 and Kim Wah Chiu on 981,000. These were the positions entering Day 3, not final results or a guarantee of who would win.

The next result to watch

Day 3 was scheduled for October 1, with the final day on October 3. Play has continued since this checkpoint. This report records the verified field and Day 2 conclusion; the eventual champion and final placings should be checked against the organizer's subsequent results.
