UNDERSTAND THE PRICE OF A CALL
Pot odds calculator
Enter the original pot, the opponent’s new bet and your remaining call separately. Required equity = C ÷ (P + B + C).
Use the same unit for all three amounts, each between 0 and 1,000,000,000.
Required equity: 25%
50 ÷ (100 + 50 + 50) = 50 ÷ 200 = 25%
Enter hands and compare equity →Why 100/50/50 gives 25%
The pot starts at 100, the opponent adds 50, and your call adds 50, giving 200. Paying 50 requires 50/200=25% expected pot share. B and C are separate amounts; do not count the opponent’s bet twice.
This is a price, not a hand-equity estimate
The result is a threshold for a simplified immediate call. It does not mean your hand reaches that equity. The Odds link carries the threshold so you can enter the known hands and compare them; default cards remain examples.
Future bets, folding, rake, side pots and implied odds are excluded. This does not estimate profit or recommend a betting action.
